It provides excitement, since there is sexual activity and new romance involved. It is tempting and gives a person more things to look forward to each day compared to waking up to a settled routine and boring marriage.
A new romance may even provide a person with a new meaning to life. If your spouse has been languishing quietly in boredom for years, cheating will suddenly give him or her new things to think about and what your spouse wants out of life. It can be a drastic change but it may also be a welcomed one from an unfulfilling and boring relationship.
That is why all relationship experts will encourage people to keep the romance going in a marriage by allocating time for dates and other activities just for two. Prevent boredom from seeping into a marriage and there will be less chances of having an unfaithful spouse in it.
