A cheating spouse is not stupid. Many are extremely cautious and make it a point to ensure all evidence that may point to an affair are wiped out completely. With this in mind, a prepaid phone card is, therefore, used for the purpose of communicating with the other person.

Using a cell or house phone to conduct an affair is actually full of risk. This is because you can easily get a statement to show the phone numbers and pattern of calls to and from these phones. However, using a prepaid phone card is different. There is no bill you can ask for and even if you can get hold of the cell phone, you may not be able to retrieve the phone number that was dialed to reach the person your spouse is cheating with.

With a phone card, you need to call the number listed on the card to reach the company providing the service and then punch in a series of numbers given to activate the card. Then only you can start dialing the number you want to connect to. In other words, you cannot get a record of the number your partner has dialed to reach the other person. The only number you will be able to get would be the phone card company’s number and nothing more.

Prepaid SIM Card

The other way a cheating spouse can get around the phone problem is to get a prepaid SIM card. This one too won’t have a bill to go with it and a lot of cheaters quietly buy a prepaid SIM card just for the sole purpose of communicating with the person he is having an affair with.

Similar to a prepaid phone card, a prepaid SIM card won’t leave obvious evidence. On top of that, if all the contact numbers are stored on the SIM card, you won’t be able to trace any suspicious numbers even if you can get access to the cell phone.

Looking though a cheating spouse’s cell phone is usually one of the easiest ways to catch him red-handed. And a lot of cheaters know this which is why they resort to something harder to detect. Usually, the fact that they hide the prepaid card from you is enough reason for you to suspect that something is going on, even if you can’t get much information through the cell phone itself.
