When Your Spouse Changes His Routine

If a cheater is smart or has a choice, he wouldn’t be changing his routine when he is carrying on an affair. This is because a change is routine is obvious and it WILL cause the spouse to start asking questions. For instance, going to work earlier or coming home later is bound to invite inquiries from the partner, whether they are outright suspicion of cheating or merely a sense of curiosity.

But for a cheater, a change of routine is sometimes necessary in order to make time to see the other person. Having a relationship with another requires time and effort, and that time can only come about through cutting back on the hours spent at home or in the office. As a result, it is thus very common for a cheating spouse to have this sudden change in routine because of the need to accommodate being with another.

If you find that your spouse has now changed his routine, just try to make innocent inquiries as to the reason for the change. After all, it is normal for a spouse to ask about changes in the daily activities of one another. If all you get is a vague explanation with a rush to brush off the subject altogether, then you should indeed be wary.

The other thing you could try is to “force” your way into the time slot that coincides with the routine change and watch your spouse’s reaction. For example, if your spouse is now going to work two hours earlier, make up an excuse and pretend that you need to hitch a ride that morning. Or if he is always working late, drop by at his office and treat it as a surprise visit. Be creative and you will learn a lot just by watching your spouse’s reaction if you have suddenly upset his plans to meet up with the other person.
