Why A Change In Appearance Is A Common Sign Of Cheating

It is certainly not uncommon for a cheater to change his appearance when cheating is going on. Although changing one’s appearance would be obvious to one’s partner, people still do it when they are cheating because such a change does not, by itself, reveals anything that may alert the partner as to what is actually happening behind her back.

Think about it for a minute. If your partner has suddenly decided to change his hairstyle, you cannot assume that cheating is taking place just by this change alone. You need more than that to make that conclusion.

That is why cheaters are often daring enough to make a change in appearance because it is difficult to tie the change with an affair. It is easy to create a valid excuse to brush off your inquiries as to the change because you have no concrete evidence to show that you are being cheated upon.

The Reason

Usually, a new emphasis on personal grooming is observed when someone is cheating. This is because when you are seeing someone new, it is only natural that you want to look your best. Whether it is to impress or just to make the other person happy, most people will take the trouble to look good on dates. That is why a cheating spouse or partner will suddenly seem to place additional importance on personal grooming when they are carrying on an affair.

Moreover, when a cheater is in a close relationship with someone else, the other person’s opinion matters. If that person prefers your partner to have a different style, it is only a matter of time before your partner gets influenced by her ideas. Gradually, your partner may also begin to adopt the other person’s preferences and lifestyle. As a result, you may then see a change in appearance in your partner to suit the other person in his life.

That is why appearance change is a very common sign of cheating that often gets mentioned. It happens and you may be left wondering why, but you may never be able to guess the actual reason for it. It is one of those cheating signs that stares you in the face, but you just absolutely miss it because it doesn’t seem to be important or related to cheating in any way.
